WHAT IS ORGANIC GEOCHEMISTRY?
Broadly speaking, organic geochemistry is the study of sedimentary carbonaceous materials to better understand the present and past connections between Earth's biosphere and geosphere and how this may be reflected in our search for life on other planets.
It is closely associated with other geoscience sub-disciplines such as biogeochemistry, petroleum geochemistry, geomicrobiology, and environmental geochemistry.
